Meiho SFC Multi Case L

You already know about  my obsession for boxes made by Meiho Chemical. I have already reviewed the SFC box in the size M (here) and told how pleased I am with this lure box that comes with no dividers.
Today I have received via mail a bigger model, the size L. I think this size is perfect for anything between 12 and 14 cm in length. I don't like to go to a fishing trip with heavy and big boxes and the size of the L model (186x103x34mm) is a perfect match for my needs.  Below you can see the box with lures inside to get a better idea on how many lures it can hold.

I like to put decorative stickers on the boxes. This one is by DUO.

Three lures sized between 135 and 140 mm .

Here is the box filled. I could manage to put three DUO Tide Lures, one Rapala
MaxRap 15cm, one Seaspin Mommotti 140 and two Seaspin Coixedda 100.
I think 7-8 lures of medium sized are the max it can hold. If you go with smaller
lures in the 90-100mm range you can definitely add more.

Where to buy: Cloud Nine Tackle
Price: 320 Yen

Meiho SFC Multi Case

You already know that I am a fan of Meiho boxes. My last discovery is the SFC Multi Case model. SFC stands for System Fishing Combo and are value priced polypropylene lure boxes that come in several sizes and configurations. My favorite one is the "Multi" configuration which is the box without any dividers.
I think a configuration without dividers gives the possibility to put more lures inside the box. You don't have a restriction on any kind of length or width. Also it is flexible enough to use it for other purposes like storing shore jigging equipment or hooks.
I use the M model for small-medium sized lures in the 7-9cm range. The L sized box is better suited for everything in the 10-14cm length.
SFC Multi Case M size.

These boxes are tough and easy to use. The red latch and the hinges are rock solid. The price also is good.
An highly recommended tackle box.

The SFC Multi are available in these sizes:

SS = 103x73x23mm
S= 138x77x31mm
M=161x91x31mm
L= 186x103x34mm
LL=214x118x45mm
3L=275x131x45mm

Meiho Versus 310

I have already wrote about Meiho in this post. I think they are the best company making tackle boxes in the world. The outstanding quality and the large array of products proves it.
Recently I had the chance to order a small hinged tackle box for my ultralight tackle.
It is a Versus 310 model (size: 114x63x34mm) and is ideal for small items such as hook, swivels, snaps, split rings, or some ultralight soft bait setup.
The 310 model comes with 7 medium sized and 2 small compartments. I used the big ones for my softbaits. The 50mm sized worms and mini shads fit with no problems. I can even add a couple of mini jigs (like this one) with no problem. The hinges are strong and overall the box seems very sturdy.
When I go ultralight fishing, this small 310 is enough to carry all my tackle in one place. It even comes with a lanyard but I don't use it.
You can find it online here

Compact sized. Note the Versus logo.

9 compartments

Can easily fit my soft lures. These are 2 inches (50mm)

Jig heads go here. The smallest compartment is where I put my snaps and swivels.

The best boxes in the business: Meiho Chemical

I have to admit that I am fond of tackle boxes. I use them a lot and I like keeping all my lures and accessories in order. I have tried many brand out there but, without any doubt, the best tackle boxes are the ones made by the Japanese company Meiho Chemical.
This year I had the chance to buy a couple of them over the net. What can I say? They are awesome, well made and durable. What impresses me is the quality of the molding. The tolerances are perfect, no gaps whatsoever between the hinges or latches. When you close the lid you can feel the quality the same way you feel when you shut the door of a luxury car. You get the idea.
If you check the catalog you will see that Meiho produces hundreds of different models. They have the right box for every situation and need.
Meiho SFC S and M Lure Boxes

Right now I am using some Meiho SFC boxes. SFC stands for System Fishing Compo.They are polypropylene boxes that come in 9 different sizes and 5 different setups. You have the fly,worm,lure, plain and spinner versions. I like the SS,S,M and L sizes. The small one is perfect for ultralight tackle, while the S and M can be good for 5-6cm minnow lures or small soft baits. I also have the spinnerbait version that I use for my long jerk minnows. The center divider helps keeping everything organized.
I love them ! A+!
