" We have started this English page to help keep our international audience/fans better informed on our brand of fishing lures".
This is the description in the opening screen the new IMA Japan Facebook page.
I am happy to see another Japan Lure company opening to the international audience with a English language page. In my opinion is important for these kind of companies to market their lures in a proper way. These brands have a quite big follower base around the world but sometimes lack of communication gets in the way and we cannot always rely on .jp domains and google translation in order to learn more about their products.
I think from now on we will be able to follow the latest news and photos from this newly opened page.
Thanks IMA!

Seabass Fishing with Yamaga Blanks
You gotta love those videos made by Japanese rod maker Yamaga Blanks.
Here is a nice battle with a couple of seabass. The rod used is a top of the line Ballistick EVO model which was just introduced in Japan.

IMA Sasuke Mini!
One of the most successful lure in the IMA range got just shrunk in 50mm mini size.
The Sasuke, which I consider one of the staple IMA lures along with the Komomo, seems to be ready to lure some aji and small predator fishes around the world. The 50mm sized Sasuke SF-50 is just 1.5g and mounts single Owner SBL-55M size 12 single hooks (barbless). Its range is 10-40cm depth.
We will wait the see/read more about the lure in the near future. Hope to get my hands on them soon.

More on the Shimano Stella
One thing I love about Japanese brands is the attention to detail and the amount of information they share with the customer about their products.
The introduction of the 2014 Stella has already caught the attention of all the anglers in the world and now Shimano has setup an amazingly detailed page that explains all the features of the new Stella.
I love the closeup photos, the charts, the 3D drawings, comparison photos, pro staff comments and so on.
There are many words that have been introduced in the new reel: Micro Module, Free Body, E.I, Core Protect, etc.
If you are armed with google translate you can understand most of the new features. The real advantages of all these innovations will be tested and reviewed but in the meantime hats off to the marketing department for creating a quite interesting technical page
