I have a nice report coming soon. I had the opportunity to wet some lures on the weekend. Caught some fishes and also lost some small pelagic fishes on small jigs. Stay tuned...

What you want next from DUO?
Another contest by DUO is on!
As you know DUO is a brand that keeps contact with the anglers and likes asking questions about favorite lures, fishes, colors and so on. This time is going even further by asking one very interesting question that is also very appealing for anglers: What Lure would you like to see DUO produce? Well knowing the quality and experience of DUO I might just tell them to create anything they want, even a 200gr GT topwater lure.
You can answer in any way you want, just use your imagination. Just send an email to duocontest@gmail.com until 15th November 5PM (Hey it is my birthday by the way!) . Just make sure you are a fan of DUO at www.facebook.com/DUOJPN
Thanks to DUO for asking us, anglers, what we would like to see and buy. This is a real interaction between brand-angler.
Anyway, my request? I would like to see a nice 120mm popper for bluefish :)

Owner Treble Hooks Weight Chart
This is something that I have found while "googling" around for handmade lures. I have to admit that it is a very valuable chart for those who want to switch between treble hook models or are just curious about sizes and diameters. I don't know if it is a chart made by Owner Hooks or the "owner" of this Japanese Lure Craft Shop.
Anyway, I am sharing it with you. Enjoy.

Mini Alle's Lures
My friend Alessandro, owner of Alle's Lures has just dropped me an email with a nice photo of his latest creations. After crafting some incredible lures for big fishes he decided to give a try in designing some small popper aimed at smaller fishes, or better, anything that likes eating small: Seabasses, Dorados, breams, bluefish and so on.
They look fabulous and I hope he will put them on sale. They are for now just prototypes ready to be tested. Make sure you check his official page on a regular basis for the latest news and products.

News from Owner Hooks
Be ready with your google translate and follow these links for some news and interesting pages offered by Owner Hooks Japan.
New Treble Hooks: STX-58
This is an interesting new treble hook introduced by Owner. It is, according to the site, a treble with a wire as thick as the ST-56 series but with a %10 better strength. The design and the strength of the hook is designed specifically for the use of PE lines. The slightly inward curved gape is supposed to improve hooking and avoid any break using PE lines. Anyway, this is an interesting product that we will see soon in stores (I hope).

Treble Hooks Fish Record Chart
I put this one here because it is very interesting. Owner has a special section that keeps the record of fishes taken with all the treble Stinger series produced. It is very fun to check, for instance, the ST-36BC hook and see that they managed to catch a 25cm GT with a size 12. Another fun record: 48kg GT (caught in Tokara) with a STBL-66.
