Rod Project on its way

Today I had the chance to add an aluminum winding check and do some wrapping to my rod. I got the new guides as well and I am planning to add them tomorrow. I like regular and simple color schemes so in this case I have opted for a black wrap with an added red metal trim. So far looks good.

Yamaga Blanks Early 78MLRF

This a rod I bought quite a bit ago. I didn't have the chance to wet the line with this amazing rod. Actually the quality and beauty of the blank is holding me from using it on some rocky shores. At the end it is a rod I got for fishing so it will definitely touch the salty water soon. Anyway, I plan to write my first impressions in a short time.
What rod is this? It a Japan made Yamaga Blanks Early 78MLRF seabass rod. See here for details.
By the way I got the rod here in case you want one for yourself.

Playing with PS Lightroom

I am becoming more and more addicted to photography and specifically shooting lures.
I also downloaded Photoshop Lightroom 4.0 and I started using it for retouching my shots. As a current user of PS Elements I can definitely say that Lightroom does indeed work marvels on the photos I shoot. The level of adjustments is great and I am still on the learning curve. Anyways, I spent this afternoon taking some photos. Here is the first result:
