More LRF stuff from C9 Tackle

I think this LRF craze is getting bigger and bigger.
I can definitely see more sites and facebook pages about this interesting ultra light fishing method.
My favorite store has started selling lots of LRF stuff lately. I am sure this is a nice addition to the range of products available in the inventory. Getting LRF stuff was kind of difficult for me but now I have access to many tackle for this specific method. Right now you can find fine brands like Ecogear, Tict, Owner, Deps, Reins and Mars online.
If you are a LRF aficionado check it!

One of the best jigheads out the.

Didn't try them but given the reputation of Cultiva, it can't be bad!

Nice collaboration between two great sofbait companies.
Definitely worth checking!

New Stuff

Just received another package from Japan. It is winter and outside is -1 degree. I really missed fishing and the only way to past time is to order some nice stuff from Japan.
This weekend I will write more about it.
In the picture you can see my new LRF bag by Geecrack, a very cool company specialized in fishing bag and gears. Also you can spot some Ecogear Grass Minnow and Shirasu Heads.
Details coming soon :)

Geecrack, Ecogear, Daiwa, Meiho and IMA.

Lure Photo 15: IMA GUN 12g.

Today I had the chance to grab my camera and take a shot of the new jig I just got form my local tackle store.
Right now I am pondering on what single hook to use on this beauty. Probably a single assist hook dressed with some flash. I have to decide on the size.

IMA GUN 12g. and Sufix Invisiline

Today I went to my local tackle store and got myself a couple of IMA Gun jigs. The store was selling only the 12 g version so I just opted for those and ordered the 7 g. from Japan.
I like the shape and the overall quality seems good. Well, it is an IMA, so it has to look good anyway.
The jig comes with no hooks but it is no problem for me. I need to decide on the hook size and be ready to try it soon.
I think the 12 g. version is useful on those situations where you see some surface blitz of mackerel or even little tunny (false albacore). Also might be useful for garfish in port area.
Anyway it needs to be tested.

In case you missed the video. It is here:

The other items I got are two spools of fluorocarbon leader by Sufix. I got the 6lb and 12lb versions. The 6lb will be used for LRF while the 12lb looks a good choice for light seabass fishing in port area. I usually buy Seaguar but since it isn't available right now I decided to try a brand that has good a good reputation. I clearly stay away from unknown or low quality brands.

Smith LTD. Lures Video

I am very fond of Smith LTD lures. I own only a couple of them but I know that they have a great reputation among anglers.
I have found an amazing video (in HD too!) that shows some of the most famous lures in action.
It is worth watching it.

Enjoy

GREY SHADOWS ON THE REEF: The First DVD by The Vagabond Fisherman

Alessando, my fellow Italian friend/angler/lure builder/shop owner is quite busy lately. He builds lures, writes a blog, runs a shop, goes fishing around the world and now has shot his first DVD named "Grey Shadows On The Reef". Besides the cool title it looks very promising!
Below is the trailer.
We are looking forward to watching it!
