Alessando, my fellow Italian friend/angler/lure builder/shop owner is quite busy lately. He builds lures, writes a blog, runs a shop, goes fishing around the world and now has shot his first DVD named "Grey Shadows On The Reef". Besides the cool title it looks very promising!

Ultralight fishing with IMA
Nice video by IMA. Catching some fishes in the port area with ultralight tackle.
Just Experimenting
I like fly tying. Every time I have an idea I go to the vise and wrap something new.
After seeing a couple of small "flies" made specifically for fishing aji (horse mackerel) with caro setup.
I have seen some examples of lures made with krsytal flash and fish skin "sabiki style". I did an experiment and tied a 8 size hook with some flash and skin. I added a small bead to give it some weight on the head. I may try to tie it on a jighead too (like this one here).
For now is just a work in progress.

Yamaga Blanks...
I have been quite busy at work lately. I don't have much time to research, take photos and write about my passion as I did until last month. I'll try to update my blog this weekend.

AquaWave Lures
I have posting some LFR stuff lately. I got many comments and emails about brands like Tict and Ecogear.
There is another brand that I have tried with success. It is AquaWave by Viva, another japanese company that specializes mostly in ultra light and jigging tackle.
If you check their website you will find some interesting products, from soft to hard lures.
I am actually using one of their jigheads. The "RockBait" It does have some neat darting action, comparable with the Shirasu Fine Head of Ecogear. The shape of the head is ideal for darting.
